Course Fees

Higher education fees are an important investment into your creative future. We strive to keep our fees lower than other similar providers, and to offer support and guidance throughout your degree.

Fee-Help

As a registered higher education provider FEE-HELP is available to domestic students for all of our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The program is also available to New Zealand Special Category Visa and permanent humanitarian visa holders.

What is Fee-Help?

FEE-HELP is an Australian Government loan program to cover the costs of higher education tuition fees.

To be entitled to FEE-HELP you must be an Australian citizen or meet other secondary criteria. During the application process, your student admissions advisor will guide you through the fee options including FEE-HELP.

If you have a FEE-Help loan, the Commonwealth Government pays the loan amount directly to AMPA on your behalf and a FEE-Help debt is recorded for you with the Australian Taxation Office.

FEE-Help is only available for tuition fees, and does not include accommodation, text books or other learning materials.

Repayments against your HELP debt will commence when you start earning a salary above the compulsory repayment threshold.

For further information on FEE-HELP visit https://www.studyassist.gov.au/

Upfront Payments

If you prefer to pay your tuition fees upfront, or are not eligible for FEE-HELP, please select the Upfront Payment option on your registration form during the enrolment process. We’ll issue you with an invoice for tuition fees each study period and you can pay via bank transfer or card. Flexible payment instalment options are available upon request.

Payment Assistance

Support payments are available to help you through the higher education journey, including programs such as Austudy, Youth Allowance, Rent Assistance, Education Entry Payment and ABSTUDY.

If you’re moving from a rural or remote area to study at AMPA the Tertiary Access Payment provides a one off payment of up to $5000.

Visit Services Australia to see what’s available to you.

Tax Deductions

If there is a direct connection between your work and the course you enrolled in, you may be able to claim your tuition fees as a tax deduction. Please refer to the Australian Tax Office (ATO) for more information about how to claim self-education expenses, including eligible study and applicable caps on the amount that can be claimed. Tuition Fees can be claimed regardless of whether you paid upfront, or took out a FEE-HELP loan, but you need to talk to an accountant or the ATO about when you can claim the expenses.
