The AMPA main campus is located in the heart of Sydney in Surry Hills, within 5 minutes walk from Central Station. Come visit our campus.
Situated in the creative and fashionable precinct of Surry Hills, the AMPA campus is just 150m from Central Station and directly opposite Prince Alfred Park. A key attraction of the campus is the Tom Mann Theatre, housing state of the art technical facilities, raked seating and fly lines, along with numerous rehearsal and dressing spaces. Students benefit from purpose-built learning areas, music production suites, recording studio, library and lounge. Dance and music theatre students also benefit from other specialist facilities such as the AMPA Performing Arts Centre in Alexandria, with 7 large dance studios equipped with tarkett, sprung floors, pianos and sound.

Monday & Friday: 9:00 am to 6:00pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9:00am to 8:00pm
During break weeks:

Getting here:
Central Station is Australia’s largest and busiest railway station, and is a major interchange for trains, inter-city rail, Metro and Light Rail services. AMPA is a 5 minute walk from Central Station via the Chalmers St Exit.

Dance and Music Theatre students have regular access to the AMPA Performing Arts Centre - one of Sydney's busiest hubs for artists and professional companies.
Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 4:00pm
Weekends and after hours bookings available from 8:00am to 8:00pm
